Ready for fall? Your customers are.

Don’t you just love this time of year? The weather is starting to change. You can switch out your summer clothes for something different, there’s football, and your favorite warm beverages won’t cause you to break out in a sweat anymore. Changes bring a whole new outlook, and there’s so much to look forward to.

Businesses everywhere are gearing up for a busy fall and holiday season, and their customers are getting excited to see their new offerings and take advantage of seasonal sales. Whether you’re the business or the consumer, opportunity knocks.

It doesn’t matter if you sell products or services – you and/or your customer are likely impacted by the time of year in some way, and the potential need for your offer is likely to increase based on what’s happening now or in the event-filled months ahead.

As business owners, we can benefit from thinking like our customers. Even if your service has nothing to do with the holidays and doesn’t change with the weather, you can use the change of season to speak to the interests and needs of your target audience in a way that feels fresh, relevant, and time-sensitive to them.

Here are some ways to be sure you’re ready to take advantage of this season of change and fun celebrations:

  • Update your website and social media profiles to be sure they’re optimized to reflect your current expertise and the needs your customers are seeking you out to fill.

  • Decide which special promotions you want to offer in conjunction with the fall season, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and the December holidays – and prep your marketing materials now.

  • Maintain your direct outreach to your customer base - happy customers are the best source for repeat sales and referrals! Be sure you’re highlighting additional products they might be interested in and asking for those referrals.

  • Get your content calendar ready for the remainder of the year to keep your inbound marketing strong. It’ll help you build authority and bring in warm leads through the holiday season and beyond.

Let me know if you need help writing the copy for any of the above projects so you can be well-prepared to fully enjoy the bounty of the season ahead and help your customers do the same.

My fall client calendar is filling up, so don’t wait to get in touch if you have something in mind. Head over to my contact page and fill out the form to get started!
